Trust the Process

Trust the Process

Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’
— Isaiah 46:10 ESV

Even as I sit before this computer today, to prepare the word the Lord has given me, there was a process I encountered to get me to this point. This process was necessary, I didn't choose it, It was chosen for me.  As I begin to type I asked the Lord, how do you want me to deliver this and His response was to be transparent. My response, whew! umm okay by faith! So ya'll please bare with me as I am totally transparent. I pray that my transparency, encourages whomever is reading this to trust their process. Trust the process not because you are aware of the process,but because you are choosing to trust God in the process! Both task are easier said than done, but both task are equally worthy of the effort. Trusting the process and trusting God requires faith, there is simply no other way to put it. For those of ya'll wondering what process I am referring to, process is defined as a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end! Fortunately for us, Isaiah 46:10 states that God declares our end from the beginning, he knows our future before it happens, and everything He has planned will come to pass. What is not made known unto us, is the process we will go through to reach the path He has already destined for us. However,we can rest assured that as we choose to trust Him the result is victory and we know that from the beginning. {Hallelujah!! Praise Break}

I'm praising God now, but if I'm being transparent, this was not the case when the Lord gave me this word. The Lord told me to trust the process when I was in the middle of aborting His process. About a year ago, I had just left, a considerably rough day at work, and my mindset was that's it, I quit, it's a wrap, I'm not going back and a plethora of other ways to say I had, had enough! Just to give you some insight, those of you working in the nursing profession, who have any inkling of the task of a Certified Nurse Assistant working in a long term care facility, you may be able to relate to my frustration I was experiencing in this moment! As I have my chest poked out about how I am not going back, the Lord began speaking, and He said, You could choose to abort the process and leave this job now, but you will still have to go through what I've called you to go through to cultivate the fruit I have placed on the inside of you! Whew, talk about got me all the way together, not including the fact that there is an order and proper way to do things, and because I choose to serve the Lord, I have to be released from a season before I enter a new one; but that's some revelation for another time!; Back to this process! My thoughts of walking off my job went out the window, but wanting a greater understanding of what the Lord meant did not.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
— Isaiah 55:8 KJV

We can't choose our process, God chooses the process, because the purpose of the process is for God to cultivate what He has placed inside of you! Don't abort your process because then you are incomplete, unfinished,  and this can't be because God is a finisher. He didn't create me an incomplete work, but a finished work, it is totally up to you and I to walk out His works. When the Lord said I would still have to go through what He needed me to go through, this is what He meant; If we are trying to choose our own process we will continue to have to start over, because the only way the will of God will be made manifest in our lives is to finish His process. When we abort the process it's like aborting the hand of God in our lives because we are choosing not to trust Him.We want to see the process, before we go through the process. We try to plan our life out, and try to see what we have to go through to get where we want to go. We want to anticipate everything because by nature we walk by sight. We want be successful, but we don't foresee being homeless, therefore in our minds it can't be apart of the process. We want to choose our own process because we want to determine the outcome.  We have this mindset because we want to reign but we refuse to suffer. Yet, the Word of God says, that suffering is the prerequisite to reigning. Selah We pray for peace but, then we don't want to go through the chaos that brings about peace. It's like  saying, Lord we want all the blessings but we don't want to go through preparation for them, just give them to me. But the Lord is saying, this is your process, do you trust me?

The process begins when we are born again. To be born again says I die of my will {selfish desires and ambitions} to receive the will God has for me. To be born again also requires a dimension of faith. You have to receive it by faith that you are a new creation and your old way of doing things are now a thing of the past. It is faith that allows us to lean not to our own understanding and not by our sight. My mom always told me that we have to go through our own process, she was right, but when we are born again, our process is predestined vs chosen. The Lord chooses us, and we choose to receive Him and the process He has chosen for our lives. Once we are born again we are then  led by the Holy Spirit {the spirit of the Lord within us} and our instructions is to not quench{subdue or suppress} the Holy Spirit. So, the question becomes am I going to quench the Holy Spirit to choose my own process? The answer should be no. You have to trust the process the Lord has chosen for you and In order for you to trust the process you have to trust God.

For we walk by Faith, not by sight
— 2 Corinthians 5:7

There will be a series of events that occur in our life that will challenge our faith, and our decision to trust God, but it is all apart of our process. The ways of the Lord, are in no comparison to ours, neither are our thoughts. Plainly said, some things we simply will not understand. In Isaiah 41:10 KJV, The Lord tells us; Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Once you have chosen the process God has for you, there is no need to be afraid, just trust Him and walk it out!

Once I made the declaration that, I wholeheartedly serve the Lord, I chose His process for my life over my own. {Luke 9:24,Prov. 3:5}In Matthew 16:24, Jesus said to his disciples, that whoever wanted to be His disciple, must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Him. As you choose to abort or walk out your process, what you are really saying is, I'm either going to pick up or lay down my cross. Imagine if Jesus had of aborted the cross He chose to bare for us. Selah

Fortunately for us, Christ endured the cross. He endured His process because He understood how necessary it was for us! Your process is necessary for those God has connected to you!, they are depending on you walking out and enduring your process! Christ chose the cross out of pure love for us and is now at the right hand of our Father.

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
— Hebrews 12:2 NKJV

As I stated earlier, I understand this task is easier said than done, which is one of the reasons it requires faith to do! The Word says that He is the AUTHOR and FINISHER...of our Faith! This tells me that, trusting His process requires a dimension of faith that you can only receive through relationship with God. Trust is earned through relationship and trusting the process requires a relationship. You cant have one without the other.  You can ride in the car with your parents and not know where you are going and even fret not when they tell you, just ride you'll see when we get there, but you can't do this with a total stranger...It's the relationship with your parents that allows you to enjoy the ride and relax until you get there even though you don't know where you are going. In that moment you have faith in your parents, and in life, God is saying have faith in me.

Our situation with God is similar yet different we may not know the route but we know the destination. He plans an expected end of good and not disaster for our lives, He tells us that everything will work out for our good, He tells us that we will reign with Him, if we suffer,  He tells us to bare our cross because He did, not just despising the shame, but with joy!

God allows you to be placed in situations to test your confession! Your process is a test of your confession of Faith. God is saying if you believe, you will trust me, even when you can't understand what you see! It is with our faith that we please God. The word of God is our strength, and our faith is increased through His word. I get through the bumps in my process by my constant reminder of "Thus said the Lord"!I must remind myself of the word of God because it is easy to get distracted in the world, and in the desires of Carolyn if I didn't.

My pastor and spiritual Father Dr.C. L. Spells said it this way, "You can't choose your process, but you can choose your God." Revelation: You can choose ye this day who you will serve; will you choose to serve the one and only true living God? or all the other little gods we have created outside of him. Your process with God is predestined, but choosing to serve him, well that choice belongs to you!

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
— 2 Timothy 2:12

As I encourage you to day! I pray you continue to trust your process. There is a birthing at the end of the process. Everyone pregnancy will be different and you have no control over how you will feel over the nine months, but the end result will be great. Yes, the labor is bad, and will be painful, but your baby has to come! You are still required to be who God called you to be! To abort the process is like saying I would rather kill what's inside of me than to birth forth the manifestation of God's spoken word; It's like saying I don't want to be pregnant when you are already full term! That is just crazy!  I'm here to tell you today, it's going to happen, God has placed greatness on the inside of you, and it will come to pass!! {Hallelujah!! Praise Break} I continue to endure my process of working as a CNA with a college degree, not because it makes sense to me, but because I trust that God has great things in store for me. I am now able to look at my situation from a different perspective because I am able to see the fruit of my labor and then I know that this is only something the Lord could plan! I now sit back and enjoy my ride, not even asking daddy are we there yet, because I know my process and my ride there is greater than the destination!

Faith without works is dead! Cee Revelation=Faith requires you to walk out the works God Has predestined for you. I rejoice today because I believe that after you have read allll of this you are encouraged to walk out His works, By Faith!
