The Wait IS Worth IT!
The wait is worth it! The wait is worth it! The wait is worth it!! If I could just write this statement repeatedly and consider this post finished, I would, because that statement alone bears so much weight! But the reality is hearing that "the wait is worth it", is not enough in most cases for most people, including me. Ya'll ever heard the saying "goes in one ear and out the other"? That's what happen when you hear someone say, "the wait is worth it". I wish I was writing this post because I waited, and this was my testimony to share, but that's not my story! My story is, "I confirm that the wait MUSTTTT be worth it, because the alternative was not. I can only pray that after reading this post you will be educated and encouraged! Educated on why the wait is worth it, and encouraged to trust God and to wait on love (God), through it all.
By nature, I educate! It's what I do! So bare with me! Growing up, my siblings and I were raised in a "do as I say, not as I do" type of home, I'm talking bout one of those, "do it because I said so" types, where Grandma or Mama never provided any real explanation as to why a thing was, but this is just the way it goes. Now bless their heart, because my siblings and I turned out pretty good, but that was only by the grace of God!,; and I say this because Hosea 4: 6a says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge", and Proverbs 4:7 tell us, "with all thy getting get an understanding!" Cee Translation: It's not enough to say wait without saying why!!! No longer can we instruct, command, or demand and not educate!
In my Spirit, I asked God, why He placed such an emphasis on wisdom, and knowledge, and He said, because through wisdom, knowledge and understanding comes a relationship to the word. Selah. So as always I went back to the word of God, and Hosea 4:6a NLT translation states "My People are destroyed because they do not know me!" John 1:1 tells us God is the word. The word of the hour is Wait! Cee Translation: You can't wait without God. If God is commanding us to wait, how can you wait, with no relationship, no connection to the word, no understanding of who HE is, or no conviction, to the one who is asking you to wait? ....Don 't worry I'll wait for you to answer. TRUTH is you can not! Now, I know most of ya'll are like how did we get here? I thought we was talking about waiting! Let me take ya'll back to John 1:1 that says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The word is wait! (Psalm 27:14) WE, notice I say WE, like to remove God, as if he is a non factor, in certain areas of our life. God is a factor when we are sick and we need healing, but He is not a factor when I'm thinking about whether or not to keep my legs closed! ( Like how does that work?) God is not something we can put on the shelf, and take off when we are ready to use Him. God is very much concerned about every area and detail of your life, including, whether or not you are waiting or not!
Everything in the earth, belongs to God. (Psalm 24:1) Yes everything, including your body, and you do not have the right to do with it as you please! This may be an adjustment, but with wisdom, knowledge and understanding, there must come about a change, due to your relationship with the word (God.) There will be/must be a paradigm shift once you come into a greater understanding of the word, and God's design/plan for your life. Christ paid the price for you and I, and 1 Corinthians 6:20 tells us to glorify God with the way we use our bodies, because of the price Christ paid for us. Now, I don't know about ya'll but I'd say, that seems pretty reasonable considering the cross. Now, verse 19, talks about our bodies being a temple (meaning devoted to worship and dwelling place for the Lord.) Just like we wouldn't disrespect the physical building of the church, we should carry the same amount of respect for our bodies. Fornication defiles your body, which is a temple of the Lord! (1 Corinthians 6:18) This is the why, because it dishonors the Lord. God said wait, he never said that the time would not come.
God invented sex, with a purpose and appropriate time attached to it. But like most things the world (satan) alters the intended use, making it not suitable for the daughter of a King! If the seal on a medicine bottle has been torn, or altered, you are to discard of it immediately, because you are no longer able to use it for it's proper use. Fornication outside of marriage, is similar to this, it's an act we know we should stop, because it's not useful after it was compromised, nor was it the intended use. But we don't and we continue, enduring heartbreaking seasons and cycles of life that we could have missed if we had've thrown him away, once we realized he was compromised. Any guy approaching you, in a compromised state, talking bout " We don't have to wait til marriage", "Nobody is going to wait for you" , "We're going to get married anyway", "I love you, so it's cool, this is a demonstration of our love" or "I can't wait any longer"....ummm yea oK THROW HIM AWAYYY!! Wait for the gentlemen who is uncompromised, and loves and Honors the Lord, because he in turn will honor you!, Not because of you, but because of His relationship with God! He will have a conviction, because of that relationship, to treat you like the daughter of a King that you are!
I did not wait! I had no revelation or understanding of why I was waiting. I lost my virginity at 15 years of age, because I was looking for love in a person who was incapable of loving me. Truth is, he had no love to offer, (because God is love. (1 John 4:8). I encountered heart break after heart break, misuse and abuse, looking for love (God) in men, to be disappointed every time. Til one day I found myself in a situationship, as the other woman, and a guy attempting to convince me this was ok, because I was special, and he seen potential in "us". I was at a low time in my life, and this wasn't even my lowest, but I remember my spirit crying out that there must be a better way! I was lead to go to church the following Sunday, and it was then that I rededicated my life to Christ! Jesus was the better way! Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light! It doesn't get any better than Him! In Christ I found love. In Christ I found peace. In Christ I've come to know my worth. In Christ, I'm equipped to wait!!! Becauseeee it's sooooo worth it! I know I spoke specifically on fornication in this post, but that's only a portion of what it takes to live a life of purity in Christ! But until that post! lol I pray you are educated and encouraged to wait! Love Ya'll!!!---Cee!
