Still Thirsty! #HeartoftheDay!!
February is here and I'm still thirsty! We (myself especially) start the year off strong then we fall off around the second and third month! But today, I'm declaring I'm Still Thirsty! Thirsty by definition is defined as having or showing a strong desire for something. What is your "something"? What are you thirsty for?
I'm still thirsty for more of God in this season, I'm still thirsty to fulfill my purpose, I'm still thirsty for greater! Being "thirsty" occurs when the brain signals to the body that there is a need to be fulfilled, i.e. your body needs some water because you're getting low! To be thirsty is good! You're not on empty, and you're alert enough to know, you need more! Don't ignore the signals in your spirit, telling you its time for more! Our body needs water the way our spirit needs to be connected with God! As you continue in this season, evaluate the things you are thirsty for. Are you quenching your thirst with what is edifying to your spirit man? What you place in you body, or consume, is what will come out; and the same applies to your spirit! Be mindful of what you allow yourself to consume in your spirit! ANYTHING not bringing edification to your spirit, is like food with no nutritional value. It may serve no nutritional value, but it is satisfying to your flesh! These things are detrimental, bringing death (separation from God) to you spirit man! (Romans 8:5-6;Galatians 5:17; James 1:15)
I'm not thirsty because I have it together! I'm thirsty because my spirit is telling me it's time to allow God to get me together! I'm thirsty because there is a need that needs to be fulfilled, and I'm fully aware that only God is capable of fulfilling all my needs! (Philippians 4:19) The word of God tells us in Matthew 5:6 that "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled". If you're thirsty, you're exactly where you need to be! Your filling is on the way! Continue to thirst after the things of God, pressing towards the mark, letting nothing distract you! There is a blessing in being thirsty! Love ya'll! Be Blessed, Cee.
