Hi.

I was chosen to be a witness for Christ, and rest doesn't matter! The Heart of Cee is a reflection of my Savior! Welcome to my Blog!

Are You Willing to Die?

Are You Willing to Die?

My first initial response after reading this question is..Huh?.. Say What?..So I can rest assured your reaction is probably the same! But bare with me ya'll, I pray that there is a renewal of your mind that transpires after reading this blog post.

I work the night shift, which primarily consist of the hours 11p-7a, and as a result of this my sleep patterns are a bit off balance....need I say more? However, when I do get the opportunity to get some good, uninterrupted sleep, my soul is so happy! True story though, as I'm sleeping wonderfully, dreaming and all, I hear a voice asking me Are you willing to Die? The question was subtle, yet repetitive, and was asked of me approximately 3 times, loud enough to wake me from my sleep. As this is happening to me, the only way I can literally describe the encounter is, imagine a narration to a movie, and as I am dreaming, this question was the voice over.  When I realized this was the voice of the Lord, I woke up instantly and the Holy Spirit confirmed that indeed, that was the voice of the Lord.  So I'm now awake, but anything for you Lord! (LOL) I'm feeling a rush of emotions, but mainly my question was Lord, what do you mean?

Now, for my saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit folk, I'm sure you all are like "well yeah, of course, we die every day." But for those of you reading this who are under the impression that I am referring to a physical death, I am not, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to outpour what  the Lord shared with me!

To truly live for Christ, it is a requirement, prerequisite, and simply put ain’t no way around it, you must die of yourSELF!!!!

In my previous blog post, many of you, with me, made the declaration that "The devil ain't our daddy", and professed that we shall  live a life for Christ.   However, often times we scrape the surface of salvation, and are left without the true understanding of how to live your life for Him.  To truly live for Christ, it is a requirement, prerequisite, and simply put <singing> ain't no way around it, you must die of yourSELF!!!!  I can't talk about your situation, but I know for me, I needed some HELP with this!

Well, because our daddy God is awesome like that, He broke it down for me! Choosing to die is a choice! Jesus Christ made salvation available to everyone, but how you chose to live your life here on earth is totally up to you! The first premise of the initial question is are you willing? The root word for willing is will. Will can be defined as desire, and willing can be defined as being ready and eagerly prepared to do it. Now let's rephrase the question, Do you have the desire, to be readily and eagerly prepared to die?;  or are you proclaiming to die, but really living a life full of yourself? Are you proclaiming to die, with an immature revelation of what that really means, and just professing it because it sounds about right? Let's be all the way honest, are some of you wondering....Why I gotta die Lord,Jesus has already done that!?

It is necessary that we die, so Christ may live.

True enough, Jesus did die for us, in fact it was His choice! The word of God  tells us in John 1o:17-18, that Christ personally laid down his own life, and no one took it from Him. How many of you have asked yourself, why would He do that? Why on earth would Jesus lay down His Lordship, leave His crown in heaven, and come to earth to die a treacherous death? He humbled Himself and committed Himself to doing the work of the Lord. But why? Well, for several reasons, 1. He Loved us, 2. No one else was qualified, and 3. It was NECESSARY. It was necessary for Christ to lay His life down in the flesh, because this was the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus sacrificed His life, to give life unto us! His sacrifice, gave us the opportunity to receive His  Holy Spirit within us (John 14) to represent the spirit of Christ in the earth.  Again,  It is necessary that we die, so Christ may live.  Christ is not effective in us if we are still full of ourselves, because it will never be about Him, or any Kingdom assignment He wants to release to us. We must die!

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
— Galatians 2:20 ESV

There are some things God has called you to do that no one else is qualified to do! But are you willing to die?  To die means you are willing to be obedient to the will of the Lord for your life. To die means you take authority over your flesh, and are free from lustful desires. To die means you value the dwelling place of the Lord, and present your body as a temple unto Him. There is someone assigned to your life, who may only come to know Christ through your light; but are you willing to die to protect the anointing God has placed on the inside of you? When God asked me was I willing to die, He wanted to know Carolyn, are you willing to not be selfish and surrender your life unto me?  When it was all said and done, I was screaming Yesss LORD I'll Die!!! I know that you only want what is best for me, because good isn't good enough! I know that your plans are much greater than I can even imagine and I receive life through you!

I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.
— Jeremiah 29:11 GWT

Ask yourself are you willing to die, and if the answer is no, ask yourself why!? What plans have you made for yourself that you, that you want to produce apart from God? Choosing to die is a choice given unto us, and in order to truly live, we must continually die of ourselves daily. I die today, tomorrow and the days to come, because I know the plans for my life are inferior to the plans He has for me. I pray that your mind is renewed and you are dying with me always! Love Ya'll!

Be Blessed,

Cee
